Ethics
Yearly Goal: To be abel to understand human rights issues from different ethnical perspectives.
Quarter 1
This quarter in Ethics we learned about the United Nations (UN), and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). We learned how the UN was created after the Second World War, so that such event would never happen again, and how it is there to ensure global peace and sustainable development of the quality of life. The 30 Human Rights articles are there to implement these aims. Besides the UN and the UDHR we also learned some more history about the holocaust, and how such horrifying events of such inhumanity motivated the creation of the UN. I have so far throughout this quarter been able to understand most of the key concepts, and hope to keep that up.

Holocaust and UDHR Test
CHOSEN WORK
The chosen work for Ethics this quarter is my test about the events during the holocaust, and how the UN and UDHR were formed. I have chosen this work since it was one of the best works I have made during this quarter, and something I am proud of. My success in the test, was due to the fact that I was able to understand the key concepts of what we learned in class, and use that to have a basic understanding of the test, and its questions. By doing so it made it easier for me to answer the questions in high detail, and quality. I would like to keep this up for the tests to come in the following quarters, so that I wouldn't lose my success.
IMPROVEMENTS
Though the test was done well, there are always several improvements that I have to make in order to make it perfect. Things I would like to improve are the structure I answer my questions with. This is because several of my questions lacked structure, and were therefore more jumbled up words mashed up into one answer, then an organized neat answer. I would improve this by basically thinking of a good structure and organize the things I would answer, before writing it all down. By doing so my answer would be neat, and structured. Making it more detailed, and more to the point. Another thing I could do is to sleep early the night before the test, which I didn't do. By sleeping early my brain would be able to work more justly and organize better the following morning during tests. I would also like to memorize several key concepts next time, since I missed several of the them during the test, leading to the decrease of my total mark.
KEY CONCEPT: CHANGE
Through this quarter we have learned a lot of things about the UDHR, Holocaust, and UN that concerned about change. Change has been the cause of many things in the past, and it is because of the change people think, that certain things happen. It is because the German people decided to change into becoming loyal to Hitler that he got influence over them, and encouraged them to hate the Jews. It is because of the change people's perspective on Jews, that it lead to most people seeing them as un-human. It is because of this change of perspective, that six million Jews have become victims of the Holocaust. It is because of the horrifying events of the Holocaust and the war, that eventually people decided to come together and work on world peace, creating the UN.
