Drama
Yearly Goal: To enhance the ability of expressing myself, and becoming more confident in doing so. At the end of Q4 no grades shall be below 6.
Quarter 1
This quarter in drama, we have pretty much done zero acting. That's not such a bad thing, because instead of acting, we did planning. We have made several mash ups this quarter, which was a mash up of an Indonesian folktale, and a famous movie or episode series. From the mash up we were assigned to produce a script, which had to be at full detail, and of high quality. However not all went well for producing my script this quarter, and there are several things I need to improve next quarter, to improve my concerned grades.

The Script
CHOSEN WORK
My chosen work for this quarter in drama is my script I have produced for my mash up movie. Though the scripts quality is pretty poor, it is all I have for this quarter. Though the script lacks good flow in dialogue, and character building, I believe that it does have good detail in explaining the scenes, and explain camera movements. It's just that the script had several aspects it included that made it look like pure garbage, and wish to completely recycle and turn into something good next quarter.
IMPROVEMENTS
There are a lot of things I would like to improve from my script next time. Some of those things are the quality, and logic of the script. Despite the script being very detailed in terms of describing the scene, and the people involved in it. The dialogue of my script is of poor quality, illogical, and has no built up in it with its character. If you read my script, you would just not want to read it because of the bad flow between the dialogue. I would like to improve this problem next time when I write a script by listening and observing good conversations between people more often. By listening to conversations I would know how people talk, and that would help me to write a dialogue that makes more sense, and where it builds up with the character. Since listening to good conversations also helps me know how it builds up with the current situation, and this could improve the quality of the script. I would like to improve the logic of the script, by adding characters to the story which are part of the mash up, and not out of it. Like changing the sorcerer in my story, to a serial killer. So that it makes more sense with Hawaii Five-O which is my mash up. Though this is still debatable if this is completely my mistake, because if I am not mistaken my original script included a serial killer, until the teacher said that it didn't make sense, and that the plot has to include a sorcerer. This issue is therefore still debatable, still though the characters including should be ones making sense with my mash up. I would like to improve these aspects of my script, so that I am able to produce a script which has higher quality, and a better flow.
KEY CONCEPT: COMMUNICATION
In drama we have learned how to use effective communication skills when we were producing the script. We had to make such a script, that was highly detailed and of high quality, that it was easy for it to communicate with the reader, and very understandable. Before producing our scripts, we learned different communication techniques used in a script to convey its ideas to its reader and viewer. With good communication techniques applied to the script, directing a movie would be very easy, since half the directions are already included in the script, and no chaos and confusion would be caused.
